Eat Our Shorts

Eat Our Shorts (EOS) is a unique annual competition hosted by NAHEMI. This event is a key feature in the NAHEMI diary, a celebration of emerging talent, and a significant indication of the developments in film and media production within UK Higher Education.

Eat Our Shorts invites all member institutions to submit a single film of no longer than 12 minutes, or a programme of films totalling no more than 12 minutes in running time.  Animation, fiction, documentary, and other forms of moving image are all welcome.

Submissions are programmed to create a showcase of our students’ work, for screening at a major venue (or online if necessary).

With an audience vote for ‘Favourite Film’ as well as an overall prize for ‘Best Film’ chosen by the NAHEMI jury, this is an exciting event for all our student filmmakers and institutional staff to attend.

Eat our Shorts is open for submission from September/October each year.
