Talking Shop is NAHEMI’s annual conference where we have the chance to meet peers, share best practice, and discuss the issues and highlights of teaching moving image production in UK Higher Education.

Talking Shop takes place at the end of the academic year, and offers a chance to take a breath and reflect on our challenges and successes. In 2025, we focused on the theme of ‘Collaboration in Practice’. Kicking off the session with a networking lunch at University of Westminster, we were then treated to a packed afternoon of presentations and practice sharing, followed by a drinks reception. Talking Shop is such a highlight of the NAHEMI year!
