We bring industry and academia together in this conversation about benefits and drawbacks, strengths and weaknesses, trade-offs and innovation. Whether you’re just beginning to explore the use of AI in your teaching or have been working in this area for a while, come join the discussion, make a presentation, share your ideas, or spark a collaboration.

Presentations will cover the gamut from frameworks to practices and implications. Expect to hear about policy, industry practice, academic case studies, inclusivity for the neurodivergent, enhancing creativity, production tools, and anticipating the future.

Keynote speakers:

  • Robin Moore: Creative technology expert and Innovation Consultant for Media Cymru

Registration:

There is no fee, but you must register if you'd like to attend. This is for purposes of smooth entry to the building as well as catering.

Programme for the day:

The symposium is scheduled for 11 am - 4 pm, with coffee served from 10.30 am. Lunch will be served, and the symposium will be followed by a drinks reception.

The schedule for the sessions will be emailed to all registered participants a week before the event.

Location and transport:

The Cardiff University School of Journalism, Media and Culture is located at 2, Central Square, Cardiff, CF10 1FS, opposite Cardiff Central railway station. The entrance to our building is from Wood Street, not from the side facing the railway station.

If you need to stay overnight in Cardiff, there are a number of hotels in different price ranges in the vicinity of the city centre, where we are located.
